New to the Entrepreneurship World Cup in 2025 is a focus on space tech and startups in the space sector. Finalists from all three stages – Idea, Early and Growth – in the categories below will compete for the following cash prizes.
- SpaceTech for Mining: $100,000
Supports startups leveraging space-based technologies—especially Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT), remote sensing, Earth Observation (EO), and AI—to transform mining operations on Earth. Use cases include precision geological mapping, exploration of mineral-rich zones, monitoring environmental impact, and improving safety and efficiency in mining workflows using satellite data.
- SpaceTech for Smart Construction and Infrastructure Monitoring:$100,000
Empowers startups utilizing EO, PNT, ProbeTech, and satellite-enabled systems to serve the construction, infrastructure, and real estate sectors. Applications include structural deformation detection, remote construction monitoring, ground stability assessment, and EO-driven real estate intelligence for planning and investment.
- SpaceTech for Crowd Management in Mass Gatherings: $100,000
Focuses on startups enhancing crowd management and infrastructure planning for large-scale events, such as Hajj and Umrah. Solutions involve EO, PNT, environmental monitoring (e.g., heat and air quality), emergency response optimization, and movement analytics in high-density zones.
- SpaceTech for Public Safety:$100,000
Targets startups developing space-enabled security and safety solutions. Includes disaster monitoring and early warning systems, border surveillance, detection of illegal activity, search and rescue coordination, and emergency response support using EO, PNT, and secure satellite communications.
