Beelder Takes Top Prize at Entrepreneurship World Cup National Finals in El Salvador

San Salvador, El Salvador – Beelder, a startup that offers a promising approach to addressing current challenges in the construction sector, captured first prize at the national finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) competition held recently in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Beelder streamlines acquiring products/services for construction projects, acting as a one-stop shop that connects resources efficiently, offering buyer-supplier support via AI-driven data analysis.

Beelder advance to the “EWC 250” - the next round of the global competition against applicants from 200 countries. All founders advancing to the next round will participate in a Bootcamp which features virtual training and mentoring sessions targeted to their company’s current stage and growth trajectory. This is a key step to qualify for the EWC Global Finals.

The top 100 finalists globally will advance to pitch live for a share of USD 1 million in cash prizes at the EWC Global Finals held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in Fall 2024. Global finalists also gainautomatic entry into the GEN Starters Club, an invitation-only community of talented founders from around the world.

The EWC El Salvador’s National Finals were organized by the Ministry of Economy and sponsored by Banco Atlántida. With the participation as guests of honor: the Secretary of Innovation of the Presidency, the Minister of Tourism, the Country Manager of the World Bank, the Director for El Salvador at the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, the President of the National Commission for Micro and Small Enterprises, The Executive Director of the National Records Center, embassy representatives and the 87 partners of the country's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

In El Salvador the call for the Entrepreneurship World Cup was launched on September 19th 2023 and closed registrations on January 2024. In this edition, more than 87 strategic partners of the country's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and international partners have joined this effort with national awards valued at more than USD$270,000. Additionally, the 6 finalists will be able to receive more than $300,000 on technical accompaniment and non-refundable co-financing by the Ministry of Economy, to carry out a project that enhances their venture.

In recent weeks, the semifinal events of the Entrepreneurship World Cup in El Salvador have been carried out for each category, where the 5 best qualified semifinalists presented their pitch in front of various panels of judges and thus move on to the National Grand Final.

In the national grand final held on March 20th, the representative of El Salvador was selected from among the six finalists, made up of the first two places in each category. Since launching in 2019, the Entrepreneurship World Cup has attracted 430,000 registrations from 200 countries and connected founders with over US$4M in cash prizes and another US$266M worth of free support and services.
