As applications continue to pour in from around the world, the date has been set for the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) Global Finals. For the second year in a row, the competition will be a feature attraction of Biban, the largest event for entrepreneurs and small-to-medium-sized enterprises in Saudi Arabia. Scheduled to occur Nov. 5-9, 2024, winners will be celebrated just in time for Global Entrepreneurship Week, which officially kicks off Nov. 18.
Entrepreneurs have until July 31 to apply, after which they will participate in a series of competition rounds, with national competitions wrapping up by mid August and the top 250 founders selected by early September. The top 250 will participate in a virtual bootcamp, with the top 100 founders selected by mid-October to advance to the Global Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Entrepreneurship World Cup, co-hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority in Saudi Arabia, Monsha’at, is one of the largest and most diverse pitch competitions and support programs for founders. Every year, entrepreneurs from around the world compete for a share of US$1 million in cash prizes and millions more worth of investment, support and publicity.
In addition to hosting the EWC Global Finals, Biban 2024 will bring the private and public sectors together to share extraordinary ideas and profound experiences revolving around business and entrepreneurship.
